Community service is a cornerstone of the AGA Charleston SC Chapter and a defining part of who we are. As public service professionals, we believe in using our time, skills, and resources to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
Our chapter is committed to hosting at least one volunteer or giveback opportunity each month, providing members with meaningful ways to engage outside of the workplace. These efforts not only strengthen our connection to the Charleston community but also reflect AGA’s broader mission of leadership, accountability, and service.
Throughout the year, our members volunteer with local organizations supporting a range of causes—from environmental cleanups and food drives to educational initiatives and veteran support. Past projects have included beach sweeps, school supply drives, meal preparation and service with local nonprofits, donation collections for the Charleston Animal Society, and seasonal outreach events that bring comfort to those in need.
Our community service efforts also serve as a chance for members to connect, collaborate, and lead by example. Whether we are lending a hand in person or coordinating donations, each act of service helps build a stronger, more compassionate community.
If you’re interested in helping plan or lead volunteer efforts, we welcome you to join our Community Service Committee. For more information or to get involved, please contact communityservices@agacharleston.org.
